MIRACL Trust gives you several ways to manage your MIRACL Trust User IDs. For example, you can create multiple on any device, reset their PINs or delete them when you don’t need them anymore. In addition, you can use various devices for authentication and duplicate your User IDs from one device to another.
The User ID management in the browser is done by going to the service provider’s authentication page. If you use the MIRACL Trust Authenticator mobile application, the management is done in it.
# Create New User ID
Open the authentication page of your service provider. If you have no User IDs on this device, you see the device registration screen where you can create your User ID by following the instructions. If that’s not your first User ID, you need to open the User IDs drop-down above the PIN Pad and select one of the options for device registration.
# QuickCode
With MIRACL Trust QuickCode, you can register a User ID using a code generated on another device. You need at least one device registered with an active User ID to use QuickCode.
- Generate QuickCode from the device with your active User ID.
- Open the authentication page of your service provider. Select the User ID you want from the User ID drop-down list. Click Create QuickCode from the menu below the PIN Pad.
- If your User ID is in the MIRACL Trust Authenticator, you can open the MIRACL Trust Authenticator and select the User ID. In the following screen, you need to select Generate QuickCode.
- Register the device where you want your new User ID.
- Open the authentication page of your service provider. Then, select Register with QuickCode from the User ID drop-down list.
- To register a mobile device, you start from the authentication page of your service provider again. Select Log In Using Mobile and scan the QR code with the MIRACL Trust Authenticator.
- Type the User ID and the QuickCode. Both have to match exactly.
- Type your PIN to protect your User ID. Your PIN can be different from the one on the original device.
For security reasons, your service provider might disable QuickCode, or limit its functionality so that a User ID created using QuickCode can not generate QuickCode itself.
# Reset PIN
Open the authentication page of your service provider. Then, select the User ID that you want from the User IDs drop-down above the PIN Pad. Next, click Forgot PIN from the horizontal menu below the PIN Pad. Then you are presented with instructions on how to reset your PIN.
In the MIRACL Trust Authenticator, scan the QR code on your service provider’s authentication page, select the User ID from the User ID list and click Forgot PIN on the bottom of the screen.
# Delete User ID
Open the authentication page of your service provider. Then, to delete a User ID, you must open the User IDs drop-down above the PIN Pad. Next, find the one you want to delete and click the trashcan icon. Finally, you should confirm the operation as it is irreversible. On mobile, open the MIRACL Trust Application, select the User ID from the User ID list and select Remove.
You can create a new User ID for the same account - see Create New User ID. If you are deleting the User ID because you forgot its PIN - see Reset PIN.
