MIRACL Trust User ID Management

MIRACL Trust gives you several ways to manage your MIRACL Trust User IDs. For example, you can create multiple User IDs on any device, reset their PINs or delete them when you don’t need them anymore. In addition, you can use various devices for authentication and duplicate your User IDs from one device to another.

If you are using the MIRACL Trust Authenticator mobile application, you can manage the User IDs from there. If you want to use the browser for User ID management, go to your sevice providers’s authentication page.

# Create New User ID

To create a new User ID, open the authentication page of your service provider. If you have no User IDs on this device, follow the instructions on the device registration screen. If you have already created a User ID, open the dropdown above the PIN Pad and select one of the options for device registration.

# QuickCode

With MIRACL Trust QuickCode, you can register a User ID using a code generated on another device that has already been registered with an active User ID.

  1. Generate a QuickCode from the device with your active User ID. Follow these steps depending on the type of device you are using.
    • Browser:
      1. Open the authentication page of your service provider.
      2. Select the User ID you want to use from the User ID dropdown list.
      3. Click Create QuickCode from the menu below the PIN Pad.
    • Mobile device:
      1. Open MIRACL Trust Authenticator.
      2. Select the User ID.
      3. Select Generate QuickCode.
  2. Register the device where you want your new User ID to be.
    • Browser:
      1. Open the authentication page of your service provider.
      2. Select Register with QuickCode from the User ID dropdown list.
    • Mobile device:
      1. Open the authentication page of your service provider.
      2. Select Log In Using Mobile.
      3. Scan the QR code with MIRACL Trust Authenticator.
  3. Type the User ID and the QuickCode. Both have to match exactly.
  4. Type your PIN to protect your User ID. Your PIN can be different from the one on the original device.

For security reasons, your service provider might disable QuickCode, or limit its functionality so that a User ID created using QuickCode cannot generate a QuickCode itself.

# Reset PIN

To reset your PIN from a browser:

  1. Open the authentication page of your service provider.
  2. Select the User ID that you want to use from the User ID dropdown above the PIN Pad.
  3. Click Forgot PIN in the horizontal menu below the PIN Pad.
  4. Follow the instructions on how to reset your PIN.

To reset your PIN from the MIRACL Trust Authenticator mobile application:

  1. Scan the QR code on your service provider’s authentication page.
  2. Select the User ID from the User ID list.
  3. Tap Forgot PIN at the bottom of the screen.

# Delete User ID

To delete a User ID from a browser:

  1. Open the authentication page of your service provider.
  2. Open the User IDs dropdown above the PIN Pad.
  3. Find the User ID you want to delete.
  4. Click the bin icon.
  5. Confirm that you want to delete the User ID by clicking Remove.

To delete a User ID from the MIRACL Trust Authenticator mobile application:

  1. Select the User ID from the User ID list.
  2. Tap Remove.
